Why mukbang is taking off in the feeder community
Mukbang isn't just a YouTube trend anymore. In the feeder community it's become a small world of its own.
Two years ago almost nobody in the feeder scene did mukbang. Today? Nearly every other live session I see on Crave has some form of it.
Why it works
Mukbang is basically a shared dinner with an audience. For feedees it's stage and pleasure in one, for feeders a kind of slow TV you don't want to switch off, and for everyone in between simply cozy. Nobody has to talk, nobody has to perform, it can just happen.
What makes a mukbang good
Not the most expensive food. Not the biggest food. Instead: a decent mic, halfway okay lighting, and the person feeling comfortable. A happy meal in front of a relaxed person beats three pizzas in front of someone who's tense.
How to start
Find a mukbang buddy on Crave. There are surprisingly many people who just want someone to eat with online. No pressure, no program, just a Sunday evening with ramen and the camera on.
